What a fantastic long weekend Natalie and Maryse had!
HDKI community came together from different countries all around the world and trained together under superb instruction from Sensei Guy Brodeur and Sensei Scott Langley. The HDKI International Seminar delivered 4 fantastic sessions and provided many opportunities to meet new friends and catch up with the old friends.
All teams represented their countries with exceptional karate in the HDKI World Cup and each team achieved fantastic results, whether as athletes or officials.
The HDKI GB Squad members had a very successful day in their individual and team events! Couldn’t be more proud to have been part of such a successful day.
Natalie won gold in individual kumite, silver in individual kata, and ladies kumite team (Amelia, Christine, Natalie and Maryse) won gold against a very strong and fast Irish team. On top of that, Natalie was asked to be the team captain for the day! An absolute honour to be given this opportunity.
Many thanks for all the opportunities, good karate, kind people we met and all the adventures that we got to have.
Proud of Maryse and Natalie representing HDKI GB and Soncho Karate Club in the HDKI World Cup - next World Cup is in Japan!
